This is my grandson Austin at 3 months old.

Here is a picture of my 2 week old grandson.  He was not due until April 3rd but he and his mom are doing great.  Every time I get to hold him, he is asleep.  I have gotten one chance to catch him awake and I made about 250 images.  You can never take too many pictures of your grandchild.

I have been busy with the new grand child (and other stuff) I haven’t any image to post right now.  I am working on some pictures that were taken back in the 40’s and 50’s that I will share shortly.

My daughter had a son this morning.  He was 5 weeks early and weighed 5 lbs 3 oz but daughter and son doing great.  This is my first grandchild.

This is an image I took at South Mountain near Morganton, N.C.  I like that it was an overcast day so the shadows were muted.

This is an image I took sometime in the past and it I wish I hadn’t run across it.  It sure make me wish Winter was over and Springtime was here.  I know it is coming soon but not fast enough.

It’s still cold here.  Just finished a week with an 8 inch snow and of course cold weather.  Our heat pump has lost it’s Freon so we are trying to heat the house the best we can.  I am getting tired of this winter and looking forward to Spring and get back on the bike.  For now I am staying in the cool house and getting ready to watch the Super Bowl.  Don’t really care who wins,  I like them both but I lean a little towards the Aints.  So with all this cold weather, I wanted to share a frosted vine leaf.

It has been a long time that I have ignored this blog.  I have been busy with other things but I am back now.  It has been a cold wet winter here in North Carolina.  I can’t wait to get back on the Harley RoadGlide and get back on the road.

I am going to be consistent with adding images and telling a little about each one.  The images will be varied from my stock of images and new pictures “from the road” so I hope you will check back often and see one you really like.

Here is one I took recently of a red headed woodpecker in my front yard.  It was a clear day when I went out the front door and heard the pecking.  Quietly I went back inside and got my camera and got this shot.  I had to crop it pretty small to show the magnificent red feathers on its head.  I got off 3 pictures before he flew away and I haven’t seen it since.
